I am a post-doc in the Klump group and lead our field research into the cognitive mechanisms that underpin extractive foraging behaviour. Key to this is the deployment of biologging devices, both on the wild crows and in the walnuts that they will drop. These will allow us to gain insight into not only the nuances of the behaviour, but also the variation that exists at both the individual and population levels.
