Jim McGetrick

I am a postdoctoral researcher focused on social cognition and behaviour in non-human animals. I am particularly interested in the cognition, proximate mechanisms, and factors influencing cooperation, concentrating on both intraspecific and human-animal interactions. My current work centres around common ravens and working sheepdogs, primarily employing rigorously controlled experimental designs to elucidate their understanding of, and the factors that regulate, their cooperative interactions. In my previous work, I investigated cooperation-related behaviours and their underlying mechanisms in pet dogs, pigs, goats, and horses.
